Should I middle?

I hear about people trying to middel lines, esp around key numbers. I got SF +10.5 earlier, then get a chance to get Seattle @ -9.5, do I got for the middle? I've heard people say it's a good idea, but at -110, what are the chances of Seattle winning by exactly 10 points?

When do you folks try to middle lines?

I wouldn't middle personally as the range is too small imo. Plus imo a key # you don't have is 11 which is in some common scores like 28-17, 24-13, etc...

Not unless you do it often. Even when doing often, chances are slim. A shot in the dark is even less in your favor.

you'd get better odds that the game ends on 10! don't give the books your juice $$$$$$$

A Middle

You need at least two things for a decent middle opp. Cover a key number, (you have), and a two (or more) point spread, (you don't).. Not a good opp, imo..gl..

Thanks for all the responses. That's how I feel about it, so I'll stick with SFO +11. I could just never figure out how it was a smart idea (unless the line moves 4-5 points).

It's the same as buying points, I NEVER do it, but then some people tell me that I should in certain instances. I figure, if I need to buy, it's a no play for me.

Thanks again all.
